I currently change the default value of 'ProcessingOptions' to '1' on the 'Add' action for import jobs with each upgrade of BVDL. This is to ensure that, when first adding an import job, you can check that it's going to process correctly. It would be safer to have this defaulted to 'Staging only' out of the box.
